KEN PRUE PRESENTS
LENNI STEWART QUARTET

MAY 7 • 2pm

Songbird Lenni Stewart and her bandmates have created a show that conjures magical musical memories of the 1940s. The Andrews Sisters, Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Vera Lynn. These are the artists that sang the songs that won the war that defined the lives of our parents and grandparents. Lenni sings those songs in this show of remembrance in honour of Victory Over Europe Day (VE Day) 72 years later. World War 11 was the first conflict to be fought in the era of electronic entertainment. Every household had a radio. The songs that filled the airwaves were the songs that gave us hope and made it possible to fall in love again ...despite the darkness of those days. This show will warm the cockles of your heart. You'll find yourself singing along. Resistance is futile.

Tickets are $20 + service charge at Vic Hall Box Office 905-372-2210.
Event will be held at The Loft • 201 Division Street, Cobourg
